About The Artwork
I made this design for my friend Anna. She along with her our friend Carolyn are going to MAPS Global School. All proceeds from this design will be going to Anna to fund her tuition and support her a she pursues God’s call in her life. I had been working on an art piece for Carolyn based on Psalm 23 and I wanted to find a way to support Anna as well. So I asked Jesus about it and this is the design that the Lord laid on my heart. It is based on Isaiah 43:19 which says: “Behold, I am going to do a something new, Now it will spring up; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.”
I hand drew this design digitally in Photoshop with varying shades of green and blue for the waterfall. The ground is covered with ferns and other vegetation and trees are seen in the background above the waterfall. I love the idea of rivers and streams pouring out of a once dry and barren desert. The water transforms the dust and rocks into a lush forest. Just as the “Living Water” changes us from once dry to fully alive. This piece fits Anna so well, as anyone who knows her knows she is full of life and love for Jesus.
